Letter from Sujata
Aloha!
Shimura Trouble has just come out from Severn House publishers and is available in both the US and the UK!
Shimura Trouble starts with one of life's unexpected crises; Rei's father, Toshiro Shimura, suffers a stroke. Rei leaves her job at OCI in Washington, DC, to be with him, and she winds up agreeing to accompany him on a trip to Hawaii to meet a long-lost branch of the Shimura family. On the Leeward side of Oahu, Rei finds she has very little in common with her new relatives—and a lot of trouble going all the way back to the hard old sugar plantation days. Rei's family believes they should have the rights to choice waterfront property held by an aged, wealthy landowner who is intent on selling it to an arrogant Japanese developer. And if that isn't enough to muddle through, Rei has to catch the arsonist who has put the Shimura name in jeopardy, and set her own romantic triangle straight, for once and for all. Can she pull it all off, and will her father survive the drama?
